| September 25, 2007: Pre-Dinner Forum and Dinner Presentation Pre-Dinner Forum: 4:30-5:30 PM Topic: Procurement Financial Solutions: Understanding the Value of IT Equipment Leasing and Financing Through Independent Lessors Sponsor: Insight Investments, Corp. Speaker: Neal Rourke, Director, Portfolio Management, and Mathew Kollar, Vice President This presentation will help the audience understand the choices and benefits of leasing Information Technology (IT), medical and office equipment as they consider procurement options. Participants will be presented the basic concepts of leasing and financing, the best practices for evaluating options and the critical factors to consider in choosing and managing a provider. Attendees will leave with a better understanding of how to leverage a leasing company to drive a more competitive environment within their procurement office. With U.S. IT equipment leasing and financing volumes expected to exceed $40 billion this year and with projected growth to $55 billion in 2010, it is important to know the options, benefits and potential pitfalls of leasing vs. buying. IT financing makes it easier to get the technology that is needed immediately, but spread the cost over a timeframe to suit business requirements while shifting the risk of obsolescence to the lessor. Independent lessors typically outperform OEMs by offering a wealth of value-added services to help procurement manage acquisition, billing and refresh cycles, which ultimately streamline these processes and drastically reduce administrative costs. Privately held and founded in 1987, Insight Investments, Corp. (IIC) has emerged as a leading independent lessor and asset manager of information technology and medical equipment for large enterprises such as Honda North America and Xerox. As an independent lessor, IIC improves IT operations by sourcing technologies at the best prices, extending preferential leasing via its own Financial Services division, minimizing tax implications, re-marketing pre-owned equipment to meet customer needs and properly handling the disposal of end-of-life equipment. Neal Rourke, Director of Portfolio Management, joined Insight Investments in 2003, with 19 years of experience in executive leasing and portfolio management, the last 13 years at Comdisco, Inc. As Senior Vice President and Director of Portfolio Management for Insight, he works with customers to determine investment strategies, set residuals on new equipment acquisitions and generate remarketing opportunities from existing lease portfolios. Mr. Rourke received a BA in Finance and Law from Illinois State University and an MBA from DePaul University in Chicago, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. Matthew Kollar, Vice President, Northeast, Insight Investments, has over 20 years of experience in Information Technology management.
